Quantized Vortex Dynamics and Turbulence
This research paper delves into the physics of quantized vortex dynamics as well as superfluid helium-4 turbulence. To do so, an analysis of classical fluid dynamics was prescribed to better understand classical vortex dynamics. Since classical fluids are also quite chaotic by nature, we performed a numerical analysis of a lid-driven cavity with the preferred software being MATLAB. The results were compared against a real data set as we shall see. From here, we hope to explore the interconnectedness between our experimental results of classical mechanics and their relation to quantized vortex dynamics and turbulence in superfluid helium-4.
